We visited the Punalur Vineyard last sunday. It was great to see God’s work there in that town. I believe that God has a plan for that place and that we will have an important role in that. Please pray for James and Bincy as they continue to minister there.
In the following weeks a new intern will be joining them for one year. His name is Titus who is from Karavalur, a place close to Punalur. Looking forward to working together in the harvest. Anu continues to help lead worship, but at the same time he is involved in the new Carecell in Ernakulam along with Jerin from Adoor Vineyard.

About 40 young people gathered on 30 May 2011 for a time of worship and prayer. In between worship sets, two short teaching sessions were given. Most of the time was spent on worship and prayer. The prayer sessions were quite focused with the young people praying for each other along with some selected adults. At the end there were testimonies of those who were touched by God during this time. Many expressed interest in doing this on a monthly basis. Thanks to all who prayed, and to all those who worked hard to put this event together.
On Saturday 28 May 2011 at 5:55pm, James and Bincy, pastors of Punalur Vineyard Church became parents for the first time with a baby girl. Although Bincy had some complications on Sunday morning, both mother and child are doing well (father too). We rejoice with them for God’s faithfulness.

We had a special time to honour mothers and daughters on 21st May 2011 at Lifetime
Vineyard Church. It was a day to celebrate the lovely relationship between mothers and daughters and to give the mother a well deserved rest from their daily toils. The primary purpose of the gathering was to enjoy other mothers and daughters in the presence of God.
I attended the function as a daughter along with my mother and was pleased to see the room with only with women and young girls. We were all seated beside our mothers. Listening to the speaker for the day, Mrs. Rachel Thomas, I could partially understand the weight of the responsibility each mother has in shaping and moulding her children in the manner that God desires. She spoke a thought provoking and enlightening word of how a mother should instill in her daughter foundations of faith, love, submission so that they will reflect God’s glory. I realized that all the mothers are “builders of generations” passing on the batton of values which she learned through her experiences, personal encounter with God and perhaps from her own mother, What a privilege it is to be a mother even more, a Godly mother.
There was a powerful and blessed time of prayer, where daughters prayed for mothers and vice versa. Five participants were hononred. The oldest mom was the 72-year old Susamma Alexander and the youngest mom was 27-year old Sheejamma. Two mothers who have the most number of girl children-three girls were recognised. Hephzibah, the spiritual daughter of Rachel Thomas was also honored. Finally, all sixty participants had a lovely time of fellowship while feasting on Kerala meals.
Motherhood is a thankless job but I want to thank all the mothers for all your efforts and for tirelessly working on. We are privileged to have you in our lives. Mothers are indeed ministering angels sent to us by God!

Renny and Manju began to attend the Adoor Vineyard in 2001. Renny will be leaving for the Democratic Republic of Congo for work, and Manju and the kids will join them after one year. More than they have received, they have given back to the church and to the Lord’s work. We appreciate them for their hard work in Adoor, and in the last two years in Punalur.
Along with James, we sent out Renny as an assistant pastor for the new church plant in Punalur. As a family they have devoted themselves to the ministry along with their regular work at AVT. Last Sunday was their last worship service in Punalur. The church gave them some gifts and prayed over them in gratefulness to the Lord for providing us with such a family.
As Renny made plans for his new work at DR Congo, he received some good news that a new Vineyard Church is planned just 12 kilometers from where he will be working. Certainly God has provided another opportunity to continue working for his Kingdom.
We wish them well in their new place of work and residence, along with a fruitful ministry in the future. Appreciate their partnership in ministry. We will certainly miss them.

A new Carecell has just begun for men. Please pray that this group will be able to reach out to men in a way others cannot. For the first meeting, there were eight men in attendance. Planning was done for the month of March, and phone numbers were exchanged. They will be meeting at the church office on Tuesday at 6:30pm. Several of these men had already been attending other Carecells and have come for the monthly training classes for leaders.

Lifetime Vineyard Church reaches out to the city of Adoor and beyond with the love of Jesus Christ. Thanks for stopping by.God’s Spirit has brought us into this family. We are not Vineyard by choice, but were conscripted by God. God placed us together. He did this by placing desires in us regarding the church. We wanted to be a part of a group that preached the gospel – who believed the words of Jesus and did the works of Jesus. We wanted to plant and grow Kingdom churches that were reconciled and reconciling communities. We wanted to be a people where everyone gets to play. We wanted to be essentially missional through being culturally relevant. We wanted to experience God and not just think great thoughts about God. Those are the things that brought us together and continue to keep us together nearly thirty years later. – Bert Waggoner
